1st - I noticed this was your very first post febill - so, Welcome Aboard! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

I sure dont know , but i would like to have it and make me a lead melting pot.
I used to melt wheel weights for lead bullets. Messy, hot , dangerous. I don't do that anymore. Do they still use lead for wheel weights? ╦╦Ç

I can see why you think Civil War.....USCT was the Union Colored troops.But I think the letters may be something from a later time period.

I know I've seen one before. Maybe at my father in law's house. I think it is a part of a very, very old furnace.
