I was MDing in Bunker Hill, WV a couple of weeks ago Civil War hunting and I would like to know what this wrench was used for? I know it was a combination of Calvary and infantry from the miniballs other relic I found. Anybody Know?

Nice variety of goodies! I am pretty sure that would be considered a tractor wrench.

Thanks Mud Hut, I peeled through a bunch of vintage tractor images. Can't find this one. but you might have something worth digging into more.

might be to tighten wagon or artillery wheel nuts on their wheel hubs

Could be. I've looked at kinds of wrenches on google images. Can't find a match.

older nuts were the 4 sided square type like this wrench was for ..the newer type nuts were 6 or even 8 sided --which the 8 sided newer nuts if of the right size could be tightened with type of wrench still
