I completed my mission to find a Civil War bullet the other night and wondered if anyone knows what caliber bullet this is. Anything you could tell me about it is appreciated.
I also found a true whatz-it. I suspect this might have been a padlock keyhole cover, but that is only a guess. What I can tell you is that it has a spot that reads, "W&Co" on the front. If anyone can shed light on what this is, please don't hesitate to post or contact me. I think this is copper, but surely not solid copper, since it isn't really soft. It appears to have been painted black at one point, as there are traces of what looks like black paint on it. Thanks for your responses.

Here is a pic of the bullet. I have propped it up on a quarter in the last picture and I have a nickel leaning against the base for scale. I measured this and it is 11/16th's of an inch.
