I had a good day today with 17 coin finds, mostly clad and Memorial cents. Among the coin finds was a Canadian silver quarter. The most interesting find was a civil war veteran medal. It is a Wisconsin State Encampment medal. It is marked The Grand Army of the Republic, Veteran 1861-1866. It is dated May 20th to May 22nd, 1896. This is one of my coolest finds, but not my most valuable. I also found an old Barlow pocket knife and a heavy steel toy pistol, but both of these are in pretty bad condition. The neat thing is I was only detecting for about one and a half hours. I will try to attach a photo of the medal.
