Hit a new permission in Central VA with Union camp and close to a few battles. Started off slow then found a nice pocket where the bullets were. Also found a saddle shield and ended the day with US boxplate. It was pretty deep and had to chop roots and unfortunately looks like a clipped the plate but regardless I am pumped up. This is my 8th plate since I started this wonderful hobby 3 years ago.

Sorry you've gotten so few hits on that find! As many have said, I can't fathom finding one plate, let alone eight. And you're still a rookie compared to the old-timers!

Thanks bro. Strange I posted on one Facebook civil war site and 0 comments. Can't imagine plates are that common.....your time will come keep at it.
