Civil War Stirrup?

I found this stirrup and am wondering if it is civil war era. It was found where I know for a fact there was some serious civil war action in Atlanta Georgia. Anyone know for sure when this might be from?
The bottom length is just under 4".
The height is 4.5".

That may end up being one of those where we say, you found it you call it. I have four iron stirrups from civil war sites, but everyone is different and three look home made. I call them civil war because of where I found them and what other items were coming out of the site. But I have to admit they could have been civilian lost. Either way it is a nice find worthy of your collection.

Thanks. Like you said based on the location it seems to me it could very well be civil war.
