civil war relic hunting

I love this site and seeing everybodys great finds but I would love to find some civil war relics to but never get much of a chance . I have only found one bullet and one button. I was wondering how one goes about trying to go on a DIV. I think it would be a great experience and a lot of fun to met a bunch of cool people and get a chance to dig some civil war relics. any info on how I could try to go on one would be app. thanks.

I've heard they are fun but, myself I love to research and discover my own sites. Connecting the dots and finding these spots of muster and skirmish is a blast for me. anyone can do it and trust me there are sites undiscovered out there! It just takes a ton of work
