Civil War pinfire cartridge..my first and in great shape.

I've been waiting to dig one of these. I've only seen them At shows and on relic sites. Always has been on my list. Today, I can mark this one off. The pin is long ( almost half inch ) and it's in great shape. To us relic hunters, a Rare Confederate find. I was hunting in a primo spot for it too.
Can't believe it was still in the ground.

This is definitely an example of one of the variations Eley made that was used in the ACW.

Here is what it would have looked like before it was buried for 150 years!



As you can see I have an extra one too if you wanted a non-excavated example to go with it!
