Civil War participant signature

I need assistance from our Civil War experts. I have 2 books, one titled "London by day and night" (1850) and "The Master of Ballentrae" (1889), each 1st Edition Prints. Inside the cover of each book, it is signed, R H Bradley, April 1, '95 (1895), then I think it says, "Westwood, NC" There was a Robert H Bradley who faught in the Civil War under Capt John L Bridger, Private Company A, Bethel Regiment, Raliegh NC, who died Dec 31, 1901. I would like to verify that this is his signature.
