Civil war items dug from fields in Virginia. Also, many other items that are later than CW. We found quite a few copper lady's compacts and lipstick tubes. Civil war buttons, WWI (2?) buttons, flat buttons, brass buckles, 2 war nickels, a few wheaties, a mercury dime, pocket knife, watch pieces, rivets, bullets, etc. Not sure what some of the other stuff is. Does anyone know if anything is of any value?
Also, the picture with the 2 large items...can anyone confirm if that's a soldier issued camp lead bar that they made musket balls from? Any ideas on what the large bronze piece is?

Thanks in advance for your help!!!

Since you mentioned "civil war" in your question, I'll only deal with the Military objects in your photos.

Photo 1:
No identifiably Military objects, except PERHAPS the disc-shaped object on the far right in row 3, if it is a button. Need closeup photo of it.

Photo 2:
Civil war soldier knapsack hook at far right in row 1.
MAYBE a civil war rimfire bullet-casing, next-to-far-right in row 2
The object resembling a number 8 is too large to be a Military number -- maybe a house-address number.

Photo 3:
US Army collar-insignia disc dating from WW2 and later, center in row 1.
US Army uniform button, dating from 1923 and later, at right in row 1.
Two US Army enlisted-men's uniform buttons, 1854-to-1875 -- probably from a civil war site.

Photos 4 and 5:
Nothing identifiably Military. Brass rivets were used to join two pieces of leather, no way to know whether they are from Military leather equipment, or from Civilian horse-harness, etc. Same about the iron and brass buckles.

Those are your basic civil era and later finds. Nice! Nothing of great value in there except for the history of it which to me is worth more! Congrats!

Thank you! Sorry to mix match stuff but that seems to be the way it's coming out of the ground. The land has been in my family for well over 200 years and we know Civil War soldiers were camped in that location for a couple of years. There's also a farm there so it's hard to tell what could be farm items or CW camp items. Thanks again for your help!

Thank you and absolutely! Historic value means much more to me!
