Civil War or Colonial Buckle? - SOLVED

Hey all,

Found this buckle several weeks back and can't pinpoint what it is from. it is made of Brass. It was found on a Civil battlefield area but could also be from the colonial period. Any help? Thanks!

I am an old Civil War buff and I have never seen anything like that on the military end. Could have been something civilian. I would almost bet you my ex-wife that it is not Civil War military.
