Civil War Navy Button

Between the wind and rains the girls and I were able to get out to an old spot along the Wire Road...had about a half an hour before dark to hunt and hit a trashy area on a small knoll...dug some old pottery,horseshoe and then this button.

the top two buttons are mine....the bottom photo is a clearer one I found on net...

This was found not far from the Wilson Creek Battlefield on the direct path the soldiers too...Could anyone tell me if the Fresh Water Navy had different uniform buttons than regular Navy ?
