Civil War Location Finds

[Bunker]

Hi All,
I have been hitting a friends property here in the Atlanta area. This is probable the 5th or 6th time with no luck except a ton of square nails. But today I finally found what I was told was a cleaner bullet. (a zinc disc was placed in the groove then fired, thus sort of cleaning or lubricating the barrel as it exited). Also in one hole under a downed tree was the buckle and I'm not sure what the other thing is. (strap connector?)
The nails would low grunt to high squeal in all metal mode. The bullet was crazy sounding and jumping around from a minus to a plus 26. Air tested it at a solid 33 on my Safari.

Sounds to me like your safari is struggling in the ground conditions. Is the soil red?
All those items are CW period items and the bullet and triangle are definatley Union Army occupation artifacts. There are more to be found in that area for sure.

The triangle is part of a soldier's back pack. I was attached to the flap in back. A hook called a "J" hook locked into it to secure the flap.

@ James...Red Georgia clay. It struggles a bit. Normal items scream different tones then normal. Hit again today and found some bullets and buttons. Will post later.

The williams cleaner is a cool bullit to find, I find alot up around Dalton. Can't Id the other things positively, But there is more there, Just go Slow and slow
Id go all metal and dig it all..............................HH
