✅ SOLVED Civil War Items Or Not?

I found a couple of items on a Civil War site this weekend that I have questions about. First, a small buckle popped out and I immediately assumed it was a kepi, however it has a metal attachment on the middle bar that makes me re-think the kepi id.

2nd, I found a pretty brass threaded nozzle of some sort. I dug it within just a few feet away from a sword belt keeper so I don't want to assume it's not CW.

That looks about right for a Kepi buckle, but I don't recall ever seeing one with that extra brass part tho. The other one looks more modern to me, some type of brass nut with what they call a ball seat.

The second pic looks like part of a brass union fitting.
