Civil war Hunting around Bardstown,Ky

Hey,I was just wondering if anyone does any CW digging around Bardstown? I hope to get busy with it after Deer season and didn't know how many others MD in this area.
I use to go digging alot,but with work and other hobbies,I have spent more time with older homes than in the fields which i think are the greatest.
I need to get my mind focused on doing some research. It's funny when i get a chance to talk to some of the older local gents around here and they tell me that this area has been picked clean.I just kinda comment with a "yeah but hopefully they left something for me".

The so called picked clean sites ususally gives up some of the best finds! I got my best and biggest gold ring from a picked clean site many years ago before I got into relic hunting. I love hearing those words your wasting your time. Makes it even better when you get a great find!
