This is my first post on Tnet in a while just seem to have lost interest. I made it out yesterday to a home site for a few hour that I have been working on and off for a while. Well it never seems to disappoint. The first find of the day was a real nice 1906 V nickel. And after that thing just started rolling. The very rough US Box plate came out of the ground at only about 5 inches down. All of the plates I have dug recently with the exception of one have been tore up but that's alright The penny trifecta started with a 1812 large cent , followed by a 1899 IHP, and finished with a 1955 and 1917 wheatie. It's pretty cool to think about the newest coin being 59 years old. Lol Thanks for looking, Ynp

I like finding war stuff nice,it put me in the mood im grabbing the tick spray and heading out to my war spot...

great digs!!

Two posts in a row that I have opened with snake pictures in them! Hope that's the closest I get to one this summer. :)

I like the half of the buckle in picture #6 and the stirrup - it looks like it should clean well in some electrolysis.

Nice variety of relics!

Love the snake! Really like the coins and relics too.

Congrats on the cent trifecta. That is one awesome hunt.
Welcome back.

Thanks for all the replies. I saw 5 black snakes in the field that afternoon. It was kinda funny. I haven't run across any copper heads but in sure it's only a matter of time.

Welcome back. :occasion14: Those finds would keep me swinging, and snakes keep me running. :laughing7:
Thanks for the post and congrats on that box plate.

That's a good candidate for restoration. Any plate is a great find! Glad you knew what it was. Some would've tossed that twisted up piece of brass in the trash!

I've thought about it for this one. I know that a lot of guys wouldn't fix box plates though.
