hunting an 1833 home of a Civil War officer in NY militia with FMERG. Frank's 1st and best find was an EXCELSIOR OFFICERS SWORD BUCKLE in museum condition, circa mid 1850's. I will have him post the pics. my haul is shown, earring is 1 dwt of 14K. the Indians are poor to about good, the 18 wheat is nice. no clad and but the 1 acre appears to be all relics, back again today to dig it all. then to the dirt floor cellar, bottle dump, and site of 2 privys. HEY! You said you were going to save that place till I came up there in the fall!!!! LOL I'm envious of that site. Sounds like it will produce nicely for you.
 

I know where Port Ewen is, i used to work out there when i had my apt on the strand, lived above the Sturgeon, also lived in Stone ridge for 24yrs, just wish i had this hobbie when i lived there.
