Relic Hunting
Hey guys,

Back from a week of leave and finally posting these up. Revisited an Civil War artillery site and dug a few modest relics: 3 ringer, cast enfield, .69 round ball, and an unknown solid slug.

The two brass items have me stumped...both found within 10 feet. Originally though to be watch components, but have yet to find a match. Components of an artillery fuse perhaps??

Thanks for looking

Reminds me of a part on top of a guitar or banjo that tightens string. Nice digs!

Not a bad guess but the holes do not continue all the way through. The gears seem fairly heavy duty- jury still out on this one. Brass construction leads me to think possible nautical...?
