Hey folks,

Looking for some help with ID on the following CW items. This all came out of a CW camp. Any help would be appreciated!

Picture 1 (I believe this is artillery fuse related, I found a blown out Hotchkiss Artillery fuse in the area).

Thank you brilliant minds of TNet!

Your first unknown object (made of brass) is what is called the "anvil cap" from a civil war yankee James Percussion (impact-detonation) artillery shell fuze. You can see a sawed-in-half one in the photo below at the top of the shell's fuzehole.

Since you mentioned finding a "blown-out Hotchkiss fuze" in the same area, I should mention, an early-war version of Hotchkiss percussion-fuzed shell had a similar anvil-cap, but it was made of iron.
