✅ SOLVED Civil War fuse cap?

Found this copper cap in bedded in a chuck of iron- is this a CW fuse?

Look at the top of the brass fuse-plug in the photo of a sawed-in-half civil war artillery shell below. The top (or "head") of a civil war artillery timefuze adapter-plug is thick solid-cast metal (brass. copper, or zinc), but your find is thin stamped sheetbrass. Sorry to have to say, although your find does closely resemble an artillery fuze's top, it isn't one.

After-posting edit:
I've added a couple of photos to show the fuze's top or "head" is thick solid-cast metal, not thin stamped sheetmetal. One shows a fuze upside-down so you can see the "solid" underside of the fuze's thick top.
