I dug this fuse adaptor today near Bermuda Hundred. I just got back into metal detecting after a long break (10 years). This is the first fuse I have ever dug and I am having a very hard time identifying it.

Description:

Height: 1 7/8 inches
Diameter across top: 1 3/16 inches
Diameter across base: 1 inch
Diameter of hole for fuse: 1/2 inch

No markings;

Base has eccentric circles expanding from fuse hole.

12 threads per inch.

Thanks for any help you guys can provide with this one. IMG_0757.JPGIMG_0755.JPG

Looks like a confederate paper fuse adapter. I found one last spring...............A very good find............................HH

Awesome find!!! I wonder were the rest of it went?

I have a lot of frags from this site. I will post some of the shell frags after I get them cleaned up a bit. The site is right on the James River so I have the feeling that some of the larger frags are Naval shells.
