I found this last weekend, on a short hunt , near a place where an old railroad track used to be that was destroyed by Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest , back during the Civil War . I have found 69 Cal bullets here and buttons before . It was actually out in a field where I found them , about three or four hundred yards from the old tracks . It is made of brass and the open end is a little smaller than a quarter . I have looked in books and on the web , but haven't seen one like this . I thought someone might have an idea what this might be ......Thanks
