Hey thought I would post this I found it last week on a river shoreline that I hunt often. I don’t metal detect tho I just look for Native American artifacts but saw this and picked it up .... I almost tossed it back glad I didn’t. The property I found it on has a lot of history dating back to 1600s
From what I could find the buttons CG stands for Boston City Guard if anybody has any other info please share

That is a beautiful button! Nice find indeed! You say you don't metal detect, but that might change your mind.:tongue3:

Man, I'm glad you didn't throw that back too. Not only was this a great piece of Saved History, it was an eyeball find. Congrat's to you all the way around. This beautiful button will display well.:notworthy: Get yourself an MD.

Man ; an eyeball find ? a VERY NICE Button even if it has no back , tho it may indeed have a back & that would be even cooler. IMO ? ,No it def, would be cooler.

It does have the back , it’s in surprisingly good shape for being found on a shoreline

Wicked nice eyeball kid, you should mail it back to good ole’ Boston
