Civil War button? and a??

This is my first time to post so I hope I do it right. I got my detector for Christmas and am now addicted. I am finding the coolest old items in my back yard. Japanese yen, Chinese coin, merchandise tokens from a local store 1910's, compacts with mirror and hinges intact. Finally I found what I think is a civil war button. I have also attached a pendant of some sort that I cannot identify, don't know where to start. Hope the pics are good enough to view.

Welcome to TNet! That button looks like some other buttons from the civil war that I've seen, but I'm not 100%. But nice finds, congrats and HH!
