Civil War bullets and shotgun shells! "I'm Lovin It!"

Well I just had to take the day off today and go hunt a dual use camp near me that has just been pounded to death by at least two detecting clubs, but I think I done pretty well for a short hunt. As you can see in the pictures(sorry for the blurry pics ) there were allot of shotgun shells in the area, but the V3i done a great job for me today. I found three carved tear drop pistol bullets, one fired 69 minie, two perfect dropped 54 Mississippi minies, a dropped round ball, and some camp lead. I guess the guys from the clubs got tired of digging shotgun shells, lucky for me.

Those are some GREAT finds! Shotshell heads are my favorite thing to find! This would have been a dream hunt for me! Nice going.

We have taken hundreds of shotgun hulls out of a camp we have been hunting. It is deep in the woods and pretty large. You really get excited when you get a signal because those shells sound just like bullets and buttons. Gets pretty frustrating at times. One time my buddy was digging bullet after bullet and I was digging shell after shell.

You just have to dig them cause the minute you decide not to it will be a button!

I've found those shotgun tops about EVERYWHERE i've hunted. Middle of town, middle of woods....seems like they are all over the place.
