At 25 grams weight (386 grains), your 3-groove civil war Minie-ball is in the typical weight range for a .54-caliber.
You asked what "make" it is. As you probably already know, there's an astounding number of variations of 3-groove Minies. Sometimes, info from the digger about:
1- the very-specific"time-period" (exact year) of the civil war site it was found at, and
2- detailed info about the cavity-shape, and
3- close-up photos of the thoroughly-cleaned-out grooves,
can help us narrow the ID down to a specific type or make. Without such info, all I can say is, the great majority of .54-caliber 3-groove minies are yankee-made, so the statistical odds are greatly in favor of yours being a yankee-made one.
