Civil War Bullet in the Wood Chips has me wondering.

I dug this yesterday in the wood chips of a tot lot at a fairly new school. It looks Civil War. I am wondering if this was from a war log that got shredded for the wood chips. The cut has period patina and it is 10MM diameter. Any ID help will be appreciated.
