I'm trying to figure out if anyone has a map to the rogersville, TN area where any civil war activity took place. A friend of mine owns a big chunk of land in this area and wants to detect it, but I'm not sure if any of it took place on the property. Does anyone know if Burem Lake is close to where this took place or could post a map of the civil war activity? I know Davy Crockett's grandparents came to this area in 1775, but if I'm going to give this a go I want to make it a few day trip and really take my time in trying to find anything I possibly can. It's been rumored that several things have taken place in this area, but if anyone knows anything I would greatly appreciate it! Thank-you!

I have googled it and haven't found anything around the Burem Lake area or any maps of civil war activity. I just know it happened in Rogersville, but I'm from KY and do not know the history or anything about, so ANY information would be extremely helpful!!!

I would LOVE you people even more if you could tell me that some of the civil war activity/colonial activity was in and around Burem lake or any surrounding properties. Any ideas?!??! Thanks again...

what you want to do with the TN Civil War GIS Project site use the drop down menu and select hawkins county then in the upper right click on the identify ! then click on one of the dots on the map ... this is a really cool site

You've been a big help so far. I'm just curious if anything actually reached the land that Burem Lake is on or if anything would be on that piece of property anywhere. Anyway to pull up Burem Lake/surrounding property and see if anything took place there? Rogersville, TN doesn't appear to be too big, so I'm hoping it has..thanks again.

Do they have this same kind of GIS data for KY...near Louisville as well? That would be great...thanks!
