This is a wood lined box.It says "made in japan"on the bottom.Any idea when this was made.I painted it gold.I would like to see others so I could adjust the color to its origional hue.

I'm not sure what the best process would be but since you apparently painted it recently, I'd try to get the paint off....may be worth more in origonal condition.
