cibola vs classic II sl

I always thought the Classic was slower, but it is also older tech.

I own a classic one and it paid for it's self all ready ..bought it off of ebay.. 90.00 that thing runs steadier than than an ace 2fiddy.. love quarters... you can tell the differences between a dime and a quarter..it loves quarters to fifty cent piece targets...crush can can be down 10 inches but it will still beep way over a foot off the ground...and that after you just turn it on to it's very lowest setting...trying not to go down so deep..

I think your going to get more depth out of the cibola and real light on the arms too but, you cannot beat the classic 2 sl being built like a tank. I have had 3 classic sl 2 and I think they are great grab and go machines especially for the beginner but technology has come a little ways since the whites made the classic sl 2 and the whites classic is no longer made, although it does not mean anything is wrong with it. More coil slection on the cibola. Better battery life in the cibola, also the lifetime warranty too. I would go with the cibola, Tim

how your detector,I don't know, does it go deep. I haven't dug any thing real deep, but it has a life time warranty.

The Cibola is way deeper, pinpoints better. But it should....prob. 15 years apart in technology. That being said the Classics are good, solid machines. Get them both!

Cibola is light easy to use powerful, has good discrimination. I owned a 4900 DL, it worked well but it was quite bulky and heavy. Takes a lot of batteries. The Cibola only requires one 9v.

When I first got the Cibola it looked like a toy the control box is so small, I thought to myself how can this thing be any good? It is a good metal detector.

I think the Cibola is deeper simple to use and has good discrimination. The White's machines have lots of features which allow the detectorist to set it up for different conditions.

I would love to get a 6000 DI Pro just to try it.
