Church Sale Silver and Surprise Gold

I hit day two of a church sale and found a room full of jewelry still. I was surprised to find a lot of sterling still there. It wasn’t cheap but I paid $30 and get all of this. The large 32 inch S clasp necklace should pay for the purchase price and the rest will be gravy. And then stopped by an antiques mall and they had a small $1 bin. I picked up several gold filled service pins and a white gold ladies watch chain. When I got home I checked the watch chain and the freaking thing was marked 14 K! 5 grams! Gold slump is over finally.

Awesome on the second-day finds, but a gold watch band is extra sweet. Never seen that style in gold before - time to be on the lookout.

Church sales are good to places to look. That gold ladies watch band would be a great addition to any vintage gold case small ladies wristwatch. It might even enhance the value of the total package above the spot value of gold content?

I already put it on a 10kt Hamilton I had in my collection that had a new black cord bracelet. This looks much better!
