In another post I said how I have gotten permission to hunt almost everywhere in this one old town near me. Well Sunday I finally caught the owner of the old church at home. I talked with him for a few minutes and then asked to hunt. At first he was a little hesitant, then asked if I could do him a favor first, try and find his property stakes. I said I would give it a try. Well the neighbor came out and said he thought someone had pulled them up. Well I started looking where the owner thought they would be and after about 10 minutes and a few feet from where he remembered I found one. We then went to the other side and bamm there was another. We tried for another 15 minutes to find the back ones and no luck. He was happy with the ones I had found and said I could hunt the church. Well it was to hot sunday, so I went back home and jumped in the pool. Monday afternoon I headed over and hunted about an hour and a half. I found the barber, rosy, war nickle and a few wheat's. Last night I hit wheat city and found 10 of the 14 and the Buffalo's, and war nickle. Then I helped another person in town, who was moving their trampoline and they said I could hunt any of there property I wanted. He then told me about the old depot that was built in the 1870s. I now have more places to hunt than I have time. ;D

The coins. Wheat's are 37,44,30,20,38,44,19,35,19,41,41,20,41d,26d. The Buffalo's..1918,1920. War nickles..1942,1944 The rosy..1946 The Barber 1914d and it is in great shape...

Thanks for looking....

Very nice finds. I bet you could work that place real slow and make a dandy haul out of there. Best of luck to you.

Way back when people didn't have TV's or air conditioning, churches often held Sunday outdoor events, picnics. In the 1970's, old country churches were my favorite places to search for for old coins.

Ya know...the picture of the Barber is so clear I almost found myself reaching into my monitor and snatching it up! :D
I'll find my Barber one day. :-[

Fantastic finds! Maybe we should hold a hunt at Lucky's place! ;D

Great deal. That is a very nice assortment of great coin. Good job on getting permission and as a bonus getting helpful information.

Hope you get many more great finds there.
