Chrome Mines and gold??

So my parents have some property where I want to go wild forage some gold. There are a bunch of old chrome mines on the property from decades ago. The stream that runs through has some really interesting rocks in it like I haven't ever seen before. I have a link to some of the rocks that I found in my pan today if that helps. https://imgur.com/a/BUFCf I am finding these really milky white rocks?

Might help to know what part of the country you are in. Look up old mining records for the chrome mines. https://mrdata.usgs.gov/mrds/map.html Was there any gold production listed? If gold is listed as a commodity for mines in the area likely there will be a high enough concentration you can recover some. Looks like the white rocks are quartz. Silicon. Pretty abundant mineral. Sometimes associated with lode gold deposits. That green one is interesting. Don't think its copper minerialization. You should probably get someone more experienced to wager a guess at that one. Looks like you need to season your gold pan by the way. Get some detergent soap, water, and some fine sand and rough up that smooth plastic. Not gouged; just roughed up and textured some.

Looks good enough to try. Pound out some pockets and see what you get. The black looks to be Obsidian Agree on the quartz Greem who knows not malachite for sure
