Happy Holidays all..... ....love these smileys with the Santa Claus hats.

I checked a few boxes and did some bank hopping/stopping the past two days. With the break I took the banks haven't ordered anymore boxes until I finally picked up what they had waiting for me....lol. I think we are back on a schedule now......hopefully. Next week may be a little slow for me....watch out dimes...ha! Oh, I did check two boxes of dimes as well along with a box of quarters....skunked on the quarters.

I was a little disappointed today because I called a bank about 30 minutes away. The girl told me she had a $1000 bag plus 6 rolls. I was excited about the bag because I have only gotten maybe two bags since I started CRH'ing. She told me the halves just had accumulated for a few years until they had a $1000 bag to send off to the Fed. I remember AW's and Tim's post a few months back about bags they received.....full of silver. The anticipation on the drive to that bank was killing me but I didn't drive more than the speed limit......okay....5 mph over...ha!

When I got there the manager told me the bag was already designated for the Fed and they could not give it to me.....I didn't understand this....I was here.....now....with 10 crisp $100 bills in my hand. She apologized and told me her manager said it had to go to the Fed.... ....... .....I didn't press the issue because it was no use.....I will get these coins in boxes eventually anyway. I did get the 6 rolls....ha! As I was leaving the manager took my name and number & told me she would call me whenever they got another bag......might be 2-3 years away...lol......or someother CRH'ers rejects if they fill a bag soon. Anyway............

Hi LJ, I have had that conversation a few times over bags- I tell them the FED doesn't need them halves, usually I get the bag haha. Giving your name and # may pay off as it has for ME on occasion. Thanks Mark & Tim. I still don't understand it. If the bag is designated for the Fed, and I don't know exactly what is involved in that process, it seems they could have just voided/deleted any paperwork they have done and sell it.

Maybe they were too busy during this time of the year to reverse the documentation...who knows. Like I said, I will get it in boxes eventually so I didn't push the issue. I sure did want it though....ha!

That's to bad about the bag LJ. The last one I got did real good. The next week they wouldn't sell them any more. Seems some STUPID CRHer bought a bag then came back hours later and ran it back through the machine. They weren't to happy about that. They screwed it up for everyone.
When I bought mine I promised them they wouldn't see it again.
Moral to the story, don't saw off the limb you are standing on.

Although I am not an expert in this area, I do know that once they do whatever paperwork they do to send bags of coins to the Fed I can't buy those bags. But as long as I show up before they do the paperwork I can buy the bags.
