With the season fast approaching and the TS putting out Christmas items don't forget to check the ornaments. I picked up these two tonight. Should be about 2ozt Sterling. Awesome score. I always check the Christmas ornaments especially for a first edition Hallmark stuff. There's one group out there that are frosty friends. If you're not familiar with them.

Not all first additions are good but some of them are. The best one I've ever found was a number two of the frosty friends for $.50 and Salvation Army. I think I got $150 for it. That was a couple years ago though.

Those are pretty cool the ones you found. I like them!

I like those ornaments and good tip. These are 1oz each and where encased in plastic with sterling silver stars on top. They looked like your typical cheap ornaments. Bought them both for a buck.

Certain paper mache Christmas figures bring a lot, look them up!
I have a vintage paper mache nativity set I need to list.

Great info. I never look at Christmas Ornaments since most are the normal spend a dollar more and you can buy them new. I almost did not read this thread. Glad I did.

Glad to help.

I have had some luck with Christmas ornaments. Even the plated ones sell well. I bought a Wallace 1975 silver plated sleigh bell ornament in the original box for $1 and sold it on eBay for $32. Here is an example:

I also bought a couple of 1oz silver round ornaments at the local thrift shop for $20 each. This was when silver was $16 but I couldn't talk them down on the price. I was ok with taking the hit because I'm saving them for a while.

Wow the cross sold for $150 and $139 on ebay. I am missing the bottom piece though.

The Czechoslovakia Mercury glass ornaments I have sold a lot of.

Great find on the ornaments!! That's something I never thought of looking at and I've been doing this for quite some time now. I found my first sterling picture frame a couple of months ago. I took a pic of my wife and I at the local park and printed a b&w copy and put it in the circa 1919 frame and gave it to her. She loved it!

You know .. you got this nice little Jewish girl running around looking at Christmas ornaments. Now I gotta look for lights too!

Radko christmas ornaments sell well. Olive wood nativity sets do well also, the larger the better.

A few years ago I bought 2 truck loads of Mr. Christmas Merry go rounds at $7.00 each, made a killing!!
Went back to the wholesaler & bought a load of Christopher Radko Christmas trees at $4.00 ea. They sold like crazy!!

Amazing what is old will sell for and someone will buy it no matter the price. Amazing...
