I did find it wierd that the box was open but they put all the extras in it with the detector. Hope i didnt recive a refurb.

You did not receive a refurbished machine. We receive our boxes from the factory unsealed, shipped inside a shipping container. This way we can add whatever we are giving away with the units to the box and ship one box to our customers.
