Hope everyone is having an awesome Holiday and that Santa has been good to you!

Yesterday, Christmas Eve, I went out and found these two pottery shards, it's hard to tell from this pic but the first one is a rim. 12-24-18 pottery.jpg the 2nd one is tempered with soapstone which is common for Burke Phase in my area. 12-24-18 pottery 2.jpg

Today, Christmas Day, I found a real nice rim and a really beat up piece. 12-25-18 rim.jpg 12-25-18 pottery.jpg

I was hoping to find a point too since the creek has been really moved around alot with the 16" of snow and then 6 more inches of rain, things were changed but not the way I like to see them, nevertheless it's been good to get out and get some fresh Winter air without worrying about getting snake bit but a skunk visit did cut our walk a little short, shew! they smell bad even just walking by, it was cute though, all white except a black vertical line on it's forehead and a couple of black dots on it's face. Thanks for looking and HH!

Nice finds and boots :)

Found this today 12/29/18 sitting on top of a pebble bar after the waters had receded a little. We've had a record wet year in western NC. I like it for hunting artifacts but it's a pain otherwise lol shard 12-29-18.jpg

Very nice Happy new year!!!!!!
