Was at a thrift today & spotted 2 pictures I liked the look of. Looked to be original watercolors. The "C. Hartsfield 1992" signature was legible enough to read. A quick online search showed the artist was at least somewhat known. Price was right so I bought both. I've sent the artist an email through his website and am hoping he will confirm they are originals. Images measure about 8"x8" and 6"x9-3/4". I'm looking for any ideas on valuation. Here's a few fairly bad pictures taken through glass.

Those are nice! And maybe keepers!

They went on the wall in my computer room as soon as I got home. I'm leaning towards keeping the square one and selling the other one. Really depends on value.

I heard from the artist today. He said these are original watercolors of German street scenes that he saw while visiting his wife's relatives. He also said that in 1992 they would have sold in the $100 range. Similar size originals now go for around $350. I'm definitely keeping the square one with the multiple buildings.

Good eye. The artist has a wonderful hand. I'm guessing scenes from Germany.

LOL I had NOT read your subsequent post.
