Re: Chip'N out Clads......

Hey, I live in England and have just found this site. What's a clad?

Re: Chip'N out Clads......

Clad is what we call all our coins minted after 1964 except for the pennies. 1964 & earlier are silver. now their a mix of copper-nickel......Our halves were Silver-copperl Clad from 1965 to 1970 & then changed to copper-nickel also .... Pennies were copper till 1982, when they were changed to copper plated zinc so 1982 & newer pennies would also be considerd CLAD.... our Nickels havn't changed since 1946, however, I believe most of us would group them in as CLAD also. hope this answers your question? :)

Re: Chip'N out Clads......

Hey Brink, finding anything is better than sitting inside with snow and hard frozen ground like here in northern Vermont. (But I can build bird houses, the workshop isn't frozen).

Nice finds. There is only about 100 more days until our ground thaws....Lance
