This is 5 years late but I have an answer.
Written on the teapot is a classic style of chinese writing usually found on a couplet. Translating it into english is a little difficult.

the poem is (roughly translated into english)
respect the plum blossom like the older generation,
greet the bright clear moonlight on the wineglass.

The chinese is 爱敬古梅如宿士,招呼明月到芳尊

Hope this helps.

Yang Hao - Thanks for translating! We need someone on this forum who can read/translate Chinese characters. I hope you visit often. We don't get 100's Chinese related of items posted here but enough to know that I can't identify characters very well using my "Kanji Learner's Dictionary".

Thx again.
