My aunt does a lot of tag sales and thrift store shopping and she brought this to me thinking I would have some idea what it was but I do not know anything about it. The lady she bought if from said It was Chinese jade. The little carved table looks like it has a makers mark. That's all I know about it. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Many many pieces of Chinese jade goes thru local auctions here. That said that piece looks like either 2 different types of stone or a resin poured onto stone of some sort & then carved. Judging from the box I don't believe it is that old (maybe 35 years old or less?). Most of the newer Chinese stuff (including stone carvings) come in that type of box. I'm guessing it is Chinese jade & some other stone it was naturally mixed with in the earth.

Thanks for your replies!
