The best way to look at is would be to assume that the coinage is country-specific, in this case, we'll say America for lack of more direction.
Working off the assumption this is an American coin, we can also look at the size in relation to other American coinage, and this would lead us to believe this coin is of the 1/4 dollar persuasion.
The date is more difficult to glean, but based on the coloring and amount of wear, I would date is to some time at least 12 years older than 2006, but no more than 14 years after 1980. But all this is only conjecture, you know.
Jeeze, give me something to work with next time!!
