CHIMNEY ROCKS

I came across this old cabin the other day and loved the rocks used in the chimney.

I don't know how old the cabin is but must be 60 to70 yrs. min. The builder is probably long gone but left something of his or her spirit. I think of the things that my grandfather built just for personal satisfaction and hope I can leave something that others will appreciate.

Finally a rock hound who found a use for all his stones. I bet most of us could make a few of those chimneys with all of our material. Excellent find!

i wonder if many of those stones were not from nearby...i mean that is a LOT of poundage.
