Found these items at a one room school house site from early 1900's, not sure on the time period but the shiny metal piece is made of aluminum. The round thing im assuming is some sort of saddle cinch? The stamp on the aluminum piece says 37 JOHN BIRK Co. On screw is a flat head and the other is designed to be hand adjustable

Thanks NOLA KEN looks like it came from louisville ky, which is about 30 miles from the school house. It makes me wonder if it was for polio.
