Its been exactly a week since my last hunt.

It rained all night last night so digging today was a bit soupy. Over a 3 hour time span I managed to squeak two zink pennies, one copper and a single wheat dated 1910
along with a "UNITED CARR" snap from the 1940's.
Believe it or not...their is still massive amounts of trash to be dug.
The wheat penny signal was absolutely unattractive. VDI came in bouncing from the 20's to the 40's and the sound was
all iron but tight enough to make me think it may be something.

Now for the fun part!
About 15 minutes before i was to leave, i got a hit that sounded better than most of the iron i was digging. It was tight with a clear high tone and numbers on the screen that indicated a possible quarter.
Sure enough, i flipped the plug and found a glint of silver with my pin-pointer.

After wiping it off i was surprised to find this character.

In my mind, I just knew I had solid evidence of ancient alien occupation.

But after getting it home and putting it under some running water, the alien theory became
less likely.
It looks like i found my first Kewpie Doll Ring. These were made in the 1920's by a company that i thought only made silverware.

Anyhow, the finds were few today but the ring made it worth my time!

HH everyone!
