Started out a few hours before low tide today and hunted until about 2 hours past it. Beach had some good low spots and some small cuts near the top.
Had two other pirates out on the beach as well. Father son team who had just purchased (BOGO deal from Kellyco) an AT Pro and got a Bounty Hunter 505. They were up in the dry sand for the most part and weren't hitting a whole lot up in that area. I stayed down in the damp and into the water (knee/thigh deep) where I was finding some coins and a nice patch that produced a few old pieces of lead weights. Ran into Max down by the bridge for a little bit but then he turned and headed back toward his end. Tide was coming back up and water was a bit too rough to get too far out there! Another hunter Dave was out there for a while but he took off as well.
The big piece of slag was one of the largest, unidentifiable, pieces I've found before. I have pulled a bunch (and larger) of pieces that always had something sticking out (part of a can, a door or window frame) that could be ID'd but not this one. Best find of the day (besides the whopping $1.50 in clad!) was the silver heart pendent that says "Mother" "Daughter" "Friend". Marked 925 on the top part the chain goes through.
Not a lot of spectacular finds but more than I had found out there in a while so it was nice that the change in the beach in the last few days brought more things out that could be found. Still looking for GOLD out there but figure I'm gonna have to get further out in the water (when the waves aren't kicking) to have a better chance of that!
Thanks for looking!
