I have been at this for a while and just came across this forum a few days ago and was almost surprised that other people do this as well. In the past: I searched dimes exclusively but I have recently branched out into looking through everything. I find that dimes have the best find rate per box, but they take the second longest to look through (after nickles and I don't search pennies). I have found one 40% half after having looked through about 4 boxes, but it was an easy and expeditious search. In three boxes of nickles I have found 2 war nickles and 2 buffs, but the search took forever on account of actually having to check dates. My most exciting find was seeing a 40% half dollar in a teller's tray and then picking it up for face value. Fortunately I have been able to see over ever bank counter I have come across. I also ask for Eisenhower and occasionally get them, but have yet to find a silver one. It is also fair to mention that my 2013 total includes the last week or so of 2012.
