Can anybody give me info on this watch fob? I googled it but got no results. It was found on a residential permission at a 1940’s house in Denton, TX.

Try "chicago tailoring company" including the quotes. Found quite a bit about their
catalogs, etc.

Nice watch fob! Don't remember seeing one posted on here.

I thought you were going to provide a link.😁
Nice fob congrats 👏

There’s one here, from an eBay seller, so I wouldn’t rely on what is claimed but, if you have a WorthPoint subscription, that might at least tell you what it sold for.

I very much doubt it to be Civil War era. The closest Chicago trade directory I have is for 1867 and the company isn’t listed. Nor in the 1886 directory.

This seller has a hanging paper advertisement sign for the company, said to be “dated 1906” which isn’t quite true.

Zooming in, what it actually says it that it’s derived “from painting copyright 1906 by the International Art Pub. Co. New York”, so the actual advertisement itself could be a bit later.

I found a salesman’s sample book for the company which is reliably dated as “Fall and Winter 1914-15” above the name and (if you zoom in) the address is given below the name as 225-229 So. Market St.
