Is this the same imp that guards the monastery in Chester, England?

I think it's a simple spoon, maybe a souvenir? Looks like lots of products have the Chester Imp applied to it.

Just tidying up some blasts from the past (including some very ancient ones), largely for the benefit of anyone searching the site for information.

@AKiwi and this eBay seller have it right… it’s a caddy spoon, for tea:

These spoons invariably have a shallow circular bowl, and a stunted handle so that the spoon fits inside the caddy, even when full of tea. These were popular city souvenirs, along with tea strainers and teaspoons.
