Chess anyone ?

[time machine]

I was at a colonial site today and dug what I believed to be a half of a pewter chess piece. There
is lettering around the base and the only word I can make out is Lark. I'm going back tomorrow to
try to find a complete piece I hope.

It looks like a German Bottle Cap, look up the 'Crown' Types.

I'd be pretty surprised if that turned out to be a chess piece - but I've certainly been surprised by many a find here .
